Lindsay has served in the financial services industry since 2000, holding various executive leadership, venture capital, philanthropic, and management consulting positions before opening the doors of Sovereign Retirement Group (SRG) in 2017. He began SRG with a simple mission that is still in place today:

To significantly improve the financial lives of clients and business partners, primarily serving public employees, educators, and government personnel.

Lindsay is passionate about equipping and informing individuals, families, and communities about sound retirement principles, practices, and potential solutions that can help them flourish and achieve the retirements of their dreams.

He has been leading a movement to do just that, honored to help people bring their financial lives and retirement pictures into balance and focus. Whether it is a conversation about retirement strategies, pension benefits, enhancing Social Security benefits, or reducing tax liabilities, he loves to make complex conversations easy to understand and relatable. Lindsay is life, health, and annuity licensed in multiple states and holds the National Social Security Advisor (NSSA®) and Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) designations.

Lindsay is a proud United States Air Force veteran and recipient of the American College of Financial Services/Penn Mutual Center for Military and Veterans Affairs Scholarship. He lives in the Greater Atlanta area and serves in various community organizations, both professionally and personally. When he is not serving his clients, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing golf, or relaxing and reading a good book at the beach or in the mountains. Lindsay holds a degree in English literature from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Eastern University.

Process, Promises, & Retirement Income Plan

I PROMISE I WILL:

  • 1. Act in the role of your fiduciary, recommending what is in your best interests.
  • 2. Professionally and personally committed to maintaining client privacy and confidentiality.
  • 3. Meet a professional standard of care when making recommendations (give prudent advice).
  • 4. Never put our financial interests ahead of yours when making recommendations (give loyal advice).
  • 5. Avoid misleading statements about conflicts of interest, fees, and investments (provide our conflicts of interest disclosure document).
  • 6. Follow policies and procedures designed to ensure that we give advice that is in your best interest.
  • 7. Provide you with comprehensive education to help you understand your money and make the best decisions.
  • 8. We will meet with you as many times as needed to educate you properly, answer your questions, and build your plan, using our "No-Rush Appointment Cycle", never rushing you through the planning process.
  • 9. Provide you a true assessment, a "Second Opinion," of the current state of your financial position.
  • 10. Determine the "true level of risk" you are comfortable with and want to take, and assess the "actual level of risk" you are currently taking; it will usually be much higher than what you were told or what you think.
  • 11. Help estimate the actual fees you are paying; they will usually be much higher than you were told or thought. (charge no more than is reasonable for our services).
  • 12. Help you explore options and alternatives to meet your objectives and increase your security.
  • 13. Determine the probability your income will last your entire lifetime. (specific retirement income needs and goals and create a plan to achieve success).
  • 14. Work collaboratively on your plan with your advisor team, if applicable, employees, and consultants to make sure you receive the most complete, accurate, powerful, and unbiased plan possible.
  • 15. After implementation, we will meet with you in the future (Annual Review) to review progress and keep your plan up to date.
